Katia have produced a couple of knitting pattern books specifically for this yarn, you can take a look here
As we metioned above, the Katia Azteca will knit to most aran or worsted weight patterns however, we do recommend you knit your tension square prior to starting your project and it's fairly easy to calculate the number of balls required as long as you know the yardage/meterage of the yarn used in the pattern.
If the pattern you wish to knit is suggesting let's say 7 x 50g balls of another aran yarn which has 100 metres per ball
7 (balls) x 100m = 700 metres required for your knitting project, if you divide 700 metres by 180 metres (the length of yarn on a ball of Azteca) you'll get 3.88, which means you'll need to allow 4 x balls of Azteca for your project.
This calculation will of course work with any yarn as long as you know or can find out the length of yarn on the ball the pattern was originally designed for.
