Wow ... I can't believe we are already into August, I think maybe for me anyway ............ the balmy heat of the heatwave was almost too hot to knit & thank goodness it's a bit cooler now and the needles are back in action !

We were looking forward to having Helen (Josie Kitten) a Stylecraft Star Blogger with us but unfortunately she is under the weather and feeling poorly and has had to cancel her visit to us, we wish her a speedy recovery. Get better soon Helen x

Finally, I wish to share with you some news about my Mum, lots of you who have been visiting the shop over the last 13 years or so would have seen her in the shop helping customers, teaching knitting, chatting, shelf filling and knitting of course !
She still comes into the shop from time to time but not as often, my lovely Mum is now suffering with Alzheimers, I do get asked how she is and I know that I have already shared this with some of you.
So if you see her in the shop or about town, please do say hello .... she may not recognise you or remember your name
but it would mean a lot to her to see a friendly smile and me too.
