I opened the shop in 2005 & can't believe we'll soon be 10 years old & celebrating our 10th year of trading next month in October.
I've always been into crafts, mostly knitting & needlecrafts & crochet too but if I'm honest my crochet skills are not as proficient as my knitting abilities, though I'm working on it .......... !
Perhaps a class with the Diss Crochet Bee will help me on my way.
Opening the wool shop was a complete change for me after a longish career in catering I felt the time was right for something different which is why I decided to return to Norfolk/Suffolk after a spell working in London, and I haven't looked back.
We recently updated to a new website & will continue to list our stock so please be patient with us & if there's something that you're looking for & can't find it online, please do get in touch as we may be able to help.
The blog will allow us an opportunity to share some ideas & give me a little more time & space to keep you updated with new products, designs etc & hopefully inspire you to expand your skills & as we're now heading into Autumn & Winter (which is perfect knitting weather !) I'm sure there will be lots to talk about.
If you're not a fan of social media you may not know that you can already find us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram but here, we're not limited to keep our posting or listing to a certain number of words or letters .... & I can indulge myself & blog away quite merrily ....... !
If you are in the Waveney Valley area why not pop along to the shop, you will find us in Cobbs Yard which is a small, quaint shopping yard just off St Nicholas Street in Diss, Norfolk & our postcode for your sat nav is IP22 4LB.
We're open Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm & look forward to seeing you. In the meantime if you've any queries, our email address is sales@disswoolandcrafts.com
