Manos del Uruguay, ' the hands of Uruguay' is a non profit organisation which assembles over 400 artisans in cooperatives scattered throughout the countryside of Uruguay. The aim of the organisation is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women.

'Manos lace is an opulent blend of three precious fibres, for your finest heirloom project.
Hand dyed in large kettles to create a marbleized, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colours.
Not two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots.

We recommend buying enough yarn to complete a project. If there is a great difference between skeins we recommend knitting two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.'
